| At the wineries |
We've been to the Finger Lakes many times now. And the trips just keep getting better.
This time, we stayed at the Hampton Inn in Penn Yan. It's right on Keuka Lake, and it's wonderful. So are all the wineries. And (oh, yeah) the hiking.

A couple wineries of note: we went to Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery as always, and it was as good as ever. But some of the others we tried were also good: Stever Hill Vinyards was great, and Damiani Wine Cellars and Keuka Spring Vineyards were outstanding.

Also wonderful was the hike through Watkins Glen State Park, where there are an estimated 2 billion waterfalls. What a fantastic place that is!

Finally, we stopped at Letchworth State Park for a really nice hike. It took us from the Lower Falls to Inspiration Point. And we were indeed inspired.

So we ate well, drank well, and hiked well. All with good weather, friendly natives, and beautiful weather and scenery. We will be back.
