GOTL

GOTL stands for Geneva-on-the-Lake. The Lady Adventurer and I visited GOTL and surrounding areas like Geneva, Harpersfield, and Madison, during a short two-day visit. The purpose was to enjoy the wonderful autumn scenery and weather, as well as to sample some of the local wine. I'm happy to say that the trip successfully achieved its objective.

We took the scenic route up through Medina, Summit, Portage, Geauga, and Ashtabula counties. The weather was spectacular and the leaves were beautiful. We stopped in Burton to walk around the town square and, as we arrived, we walked over to see the Harpersfield covered bridge and to walk along the GOTL lakeshore. The next morning we took a hike at Hogback Ridge Park and around Ashtabula Harbor. It was all pretty great.

But let's talk about the wine, shall we? Lady A. and I visited several wineries, and we enjoyed them all. We'd been to most of them before, but there were also a couple of new ones (new to us, anyway). Those two are Monarch Meadow Vineyard and Rosabella Winery. We will be back.
